Anne Kothawala is president and CEO of the Convenience Industry Council of Canada. Founded in 2019, the CICC is a national, not-for-profit council that represents more than 25,000 convenience retailers nationwide, as well as industry vendors and distributors. One of the organization’s key mandates is advocating for the diverse and dynamic convenience channel by representing their interests at the federal, provincial and municipal levels of government. The sector employs more than 212,000 Canadians and generates an estimated $55 billion in economic impact from coast to coast to coast.
